A group of dedicated Holy Name Men meet on the second Sunday of each month at one of various parishes thoughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. After mass, a decade of the rosary is recited and special prayers for the Canonization of Blessed John of Vercelli and Saint Mother Katherine Drexel. The parishioners of that particular parish are invited to participate alongside the Holy Name Men.
On July 12th, 2009 will mark the start of the 36th year of this devotional to the Cause for Canonization of Blessed John of Vercelli and Saint Katherine Drexel. After a Philadelphia Acrchdiocesan Holy Name Union (PAHNU) meeting thiry four years ago, three men, the late George Hee Sr. of Saint Henry's parhish, along with Robert Muller of Saint Martin of Tour's and Tito Pault DiVito of Saint Helena's discussed the possibility of starting this devotion. Under the leadership of of the late George Hee Sr., these men gathered for the first mass and devotion in the lower church of Saint Martin of Tour's. Presently, there are churches participating for every month of the year. The committee is looking into adding more churches.

Please consider joining us at any of the above churches. Should your wife or any family member wish to come, they will be most welcome. If you can't attend mass at the above church at these times, you can still attend at your parish.
